Celtics Jayson Tatum Dominates In Win Over Timberwolves

Celtics' Jayson Tatum dominates in win over Timberwolves

Tatum scores 30 points, grabs 12 rebounds in Boston's fifth straight victory

Timberwolves fall to 4-2 despite strong performance from Karl-Anthony Towns

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Jayson Tatum put together another dominant performance Wednesday night, leading the Boston Celtics to a 116-95 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center.

Tatum finished with 30 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists, shooting 11-of-18 from the field. He also had 3 blocks and 2 steals.

The Celtics have now won five straight games and are 10-3 on the season. The Timberwolves, meanwhile, fell to 4-2.

Karl-Anthony Towns led the Timberwolves with 24 points and 10 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to overcome Tatum and the Celtics.

The Celtics took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Timberwolves 32-18. Tatum scored 10 points in the quarter, and the Celtics led by 17 points heading into the fourth.

The Timberwolves made a run in the fourth quarter, cutting the lead to 10 points with just over four minutes remaining. But Tatum hit a jumper and then drew a foul on Towns, sending him to the free throw line for three shots. He made all three, and the Celtics were able to hold on for the win.

The Celtics will be back in action on Friday night when they host the Los Angeles Lakers. The Timberwolves will be back in action on Saturday night when they host the Golden State Warriors.
